Kevin Rees, President
Kevin spent six years in the financial services industry, rising through the ranks to Senior Associate with Merrill Lynch & Co. before leaving in 1993 to form LanguageWorks. Building and leading a strong management team, Kevin took the company through ISO certification, making LanguageWorks one of the few translation businesses worldwide to achieve this mark of quality distinction.
In a very competitive marketplace, Kevin’s approach to marketing and sales has yielded revenue growth of up to 60% per year with consistently profitable operations. His experience overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations over the past 15 years has given him a unique perspective on the issues confronting both public and private sector organizations as they engage translation services. In that time, LanguageWorks has successfully completed over 30,000 projects for thousands of clients. Kevin’s involvement in providing value-oriented solutions to customer issues led him to develop a robust and extensible project management and workflow platform that enables LanguageWorks to execute client projects with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and process control.
Kevin graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce, and he has language training in Arabic, Russian, and Spanish.

Christine Muller, Vice President, Operations & Quality Assurance
Christine manages LanguageWorks’ ISO 9001:2008 certified Quality Management Systems, including the recruiting, training and monitoring of internal and external resources, and has been critical in the development of standard operational procedures and continuous reinforcement of best practices. She works closely with all departments to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination of resources in order to provide our clients with optimal customer service and translations of the highest quality. Christine was herself a project manager and led the Financial Services translation division during a time of significant growth before taking over operations companywide.
Prior to joining LanguageWorks in 2003, Christine managed the Production department at translations.com and was responsible for Multicultural Training initiatives on key accounts. Her translation industry experience began as an Interpreter and Cultural Consultant for groups as diverse as the United Nations Centre for Regional Development, the Colombian Ministry of Agriculture and the Inter-American Development Bank. She lived in Spain, and later Colombia, where she taught English at a nationally-renowned private school, and later worked in conjunction with The Nature Conservancy and the University of Chicago’s Center for Latin American Studies in the development of conservation training initiatives for in-country organizations. Her combined experience of nearly 15 years working in language, both in and beyond the translation industry, brings a unique perspective to LanguageWorks’ day-to-day operations and our ongoing mission of continuous improvement.
Christine graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Spanish and Literature from St. Lawrence University, and holds an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Chicago. She is fluent in Spanish and has additional training in Portuguese and French.

Craig Adkins, Director of Business Development
Craig oversees nationwide sales activities while maintaining an active role in daily client relationship management. Upon joining LanguageWorks in 2006, he quickly became a driving force on the sales team by helping the company expand in all market verticals with emphasis in the Legal and Medical Device sectors. With nearly ten years of experience in the translation industry, Craig brings a wealth of strategic insight to LanguageWorks’ business growth efforts. He is a specialist in identifying emerging markets and crafting individually tailored multilingual solutions for companies with a global reach.
Craig’s professional experience also encompasses multinational finance in a marketing capacity. As an Account Executive at Ruesch International, he devised customized product portfolios, including risk management and foreign currency management tools, building creative solutions for a distinguished multinational client base. Craig has also worked with diverse organizations in Washington, DC, as both a strategist and a fundraiser.
Craig earned his B.A. from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, and he has language training in French.

Karen D’Urso, Director of Production
Karen is the head of LanguageWorks’ Production team, overseeing the work of Team Leaders, Project Managers, Linguistic Proofreaders and Quality Assurance Specialists. She is ultimately responsible for the successful realization of all projects and works to ensure every request is produced in a manner that meets or exceeds the company’s stringent quality standards as well as those of our clients. She is the author of a highly effective companywide training program that includes ongoing training and evaluation for all employees. Previously, Karen was the Team Leader for the Cross-Cultural Marketing Communications division where she played a crucial role in the management and growth of many of our most successful accounts.
Karen previously worked as a Senior Project Manager and Trainer at a global translation and business services firm. Prior to joining the translation industry, she worked with the United Nations Federal Credit Union in New York, providing customer service and issue resolution for a diverse international clientele.
Karen earned a B.A. in Language for International Trade (French) from Andrews University with the distinction of Alpha Mu Gamma from the National Honors Society of Modern Languages. She spent a year in France where she earned Diplomas in the French Language, as well as the Advanced Studies of French. A native New Yorker, Karen is fluent in English, Spanish and French

Matthew Rodano, Vice President Client Services
Matthew has over 14 years of client relationship and production management experience in the translation industry. Since joining LanguageWorks in 2002, he has cultivated and maintained ongoing relationships with countless companies of every size and specialization, leveraging his depth of knowledge to build true partnerships. Matthew’s rare combination of diverse skills and extensive experience provides LanguageWorks a unique perspective at problem-solving and a comprehensive understanding of our client’s needs.
Prior to joining LanguageWorks in 2002, Matthew was Vice President of Business Development for TransPerfect Translations. His work in the industry has been distinguished with “Lifetime Achievement” and “Outstanding Client Service” awards, in recognition of his dedication to excellence and outstanding customer service.
Matthew earned his B.A. from Dickinson College with a major in Italian and International Studies and spent a year abroad studying at the Dickinson College Center for European Studies, where he also worked as a Marketing Assistant at the former advertising agency of Longari & Loman BBDP in Bologna, Italy. He is fluent in Italian, with additional comprehension in French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.

Milena Tzankova, Business Development Manager, Mid-Atlantic Region
Milena spearheads sales and growth efforts in the nation’s capital and surrounding area. Before taking on this role, Milena excelled as the Team Leader of LanguageWorks’ Life Sciences Translation Division. In that role, she not only managed a group of professional Project Managers but was herself an Account Manager, directly responsible some of the company’s largest accounts and most complex projects.
Prior to joining LanguageWorks, Milena worked as a Multilingual Language Manager at a leading translation and business services firm. She previously worked as a Consecutive Interpreter for Peace Corps volunteers in her native Bulgaria. Milena has also lived for periods of time in England and Italy where she further honed her language skills through immersion in Europe’s diverse cultures and traditions.
Milena graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Italian and International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College. Her mother tongue is Bulgarian, and she is fluent in English and Italian, with additional training in Russian.

Raymond Monette, Vice President of Information Technology
Raymond has been a cutting edge innovator in the translation industry since 2002. He is a Globalization specialist with extensive experience in web and software Internationalization and Localization. Raymond heads up LanguageWorks’ diverse and highly specialized team of IT professionals and developers, all of whom are dedicated to technical infrastructure and custom solutions for our diverse client base.
Raymond was raised in Québec, Canada, and is a native speaker of both French and English with a strong knowledge of Spanish. He graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa after obtaining a degree in the Sciences and Engineering program at the Collège Militaire Royal de St-jean.
Before joining the LanguageWorks team, Raymond was a technology developer at translations.com. He is presently studying to become a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (Web development track).

Robert Rosenblum, Controller
Robert is a financial professional possessing over four decades’ experience working with companies large and small. His chief responsibility is the oversight of all Accounting functions including personnel, AP/AR and banking. Robert also plays a key role in the overall management of LanguageWorks’ New York headquarters and he coordinates all aspects of employee benefits & corporate insurance
Robert comes to LanguageWorks from PSI International, a Virginia-based company that provides a blend of health science, social services, and technology support services, where he also acted as Controller. Prior to that, he served as a CFO in other corporations in the New York metropolitan area.
Robert is a graduate of New York University with a B.A. in Accounting. He is a volunteer at several community organizations and charities including Blythesdale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, NY, and Queens Extended Care for the Elderly in Elmhurst.
